Every spring, thousands of outdoor enthusiasts head to the mountains to find bull stag antlers. Most people spend two to three times a season after combing the forest and mountain sheds. I have lived in the eastern part of White Mountain, Arizona since the early 1990s, and I am looking for antler sheds every spring. The weather in the mountains can change easily and is rarely noticed. You need to be prepared in advance with the right coat. First of all, you need to wear a pair of very good boots. The terrain is steep and the foundation is loose. Hiking shoes won't do this job. Hiking boots are better, but your best bet is a good leather Gore-Tex hunting boot.
