How to turn the horse correctly

To turn left, all riders must do a small amount of pressure on the reins of the left hand while maintaining a stable contact with the right hand reins. Make sure this is a squeeze, not a tugboat. This squeeze should include the bending of your palm length muscles. While you are using the reins, apply pressure by squeezing your gluteal muscles and the rectus femoris and hamstrings of your left leg.

It should feel the horse bending under the pressure of the left leg. This pressure is not constant, but should last for no more than one second, two seconds of pressure, and should be continuous as long as the horse continues to make one turn. When the horse begins to obey this command, you can relieve the pressure in your hand and continue to assist with left hand bending by squeezing and releasing your left hand.

Your right leg should be placed in a more curved position to keep your legs in...
