The passage of time is often neglected or forgotten, but revisiting them through poetic discourse can restore them to life and become the forefront of our thinking. This is a gift that the poet wishes to give to the reader. In Deb Dietz's "The Passion Runs Through It ...", this gift is willing to share and embrace.
Capture a feeling and paint it publicly so that others can feel it is owned by a small number of people. Let others say "I know how it feels; I have done it!" Requires the talent that Deb obviously has. From everyday images, from asphalt ribbons to spiral bound notebooks, she opens the eyes of the reader to everyone around her eyes. In the magical moments of loneliness and the moon's gaze, as well as the passionate love portraits, it is clear that this word can evoke profound feelings. These are not epics, but short stories involving many senses. What I like the most is a poem called "Label", in which Deb checks how labels strike people, not what they really like. Another problem I really like is sticking to what you believe instead of letting others do something for you. Simpler things, such as the rivers that break into the sea, and the glass tears of porcelain dolls, combine this book with the images of everyday life.
Deb Dietz will feel like a friend who shares his moments with you. My only complaint is that I want this book to be longer... I want more!
