Jack LaLanne's diet and exercise routine

Francois Henri LaLanne [1914-2011]'s famous diet and exercise routine paved the way for him to become a health icon in the United States. He opened his first public gym in Oakland, California, and is known for its fitness TV show. However, as a child, he was originally a junk food addict until he was embarrassed by the failure to pass the school's routine medical examination. This upset him and motivated him to participate in a health lecture that re-directed his life.

work out from

:LaLanne's exercise program began a series of stretching exercises on the bed when he woke up around 5 in the morning. Then he went to one of his weights rooms, one with free weight and the other with weightlifting machine. He has a lower body one day, a lower body half body, and the entire routine is changed every 30 days. After 90 minutes of weightlifting, he went to the pool for swimming and water sports for 30 minutes.

diet from

: He only eats two meals a day. The first meal was at 11 am after exercise and the second meal was around 7 pm, usually with his wife in a cafe. His breakfast consisted of fruit, oatmeal, broth and four egg whites.

His restaurant dinner begins with 10 raw vegetables and 4 cooked protein salads. Fish and roast turkey are eaten almost every night. He did not eat any other type of meat, nor did he eat snacks between meals. His juicer is very popular because Jack can't eat as much raw vegetables. He found that juicing is more likely to consume the large amount of vegetables he wants.

Vitamin from

In addition to a well-trained diet, Jack consumes 40 to 50 vitamins and minerals a day. The list printed here is too long, but can be found on his website. However, he never relied on supplements to replace any food, he just regarded it as an "insurance policy".

alcohol from

As a Frenchman, he believes in drinking wine because he notices that the French wine culture tends to live longer. In addition to his discipline, he allows himself to enjoy this kind of fun, and sometimes even get drunk.

He published his last book when he was 95. Young people who are alive forever This affected me to change the breakfast to oatmeal and raisins - his favorite. More than a year later, he died of pneumonia at the age of 96.

in conclusion from

: There is something in his daily work. It is true that Jack placed the weight before the aerobic exercise. In his diet, he gets most of the protein from egg whites and fish rather than a more diverse source. His heavy vitamin consumption may not help much because the absorption rate is lower than it was at the time. He may drink too much at times. However, this is his long-term commitment to healthy eating and challenging sports that make him unique.
